Do not settle for anything less than what God has prepared for you!
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Hebrews 6:10-12 —- 10 God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. 11 We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. 12 We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Hebrews 10: 35-37 So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. 37 For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”
Joshua 14:9 So on that day Moses swore to me, ‘The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.’[a]
During trials and temptataions (and hard waits) remember this reminders from paul, James 1:2-8.
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
Our fears, pride, and selfishness hinders the best thing in life that God is offering us. There are times in my life that i doubt God’s promises, especailly during times of waiting… long and hard waits! God knows how impatient i am, i always want to get things done, achieve goals on-time, finish project before deadlines and accomplish task as scheduled. And sometimes, i want in the same with God’s promises… I give up waiting and start doing my own thing, relying on my own wisdom and capabilities, which alwasy result to failure.
If you want the best in your life Giving up on God, is NOT an option! Controlling things by YOURSELF is not the way to go! Grabbing the steering wheel from GOD and start driving your own life, is a sure way to failure. But HOLDING on to God and BELIEVING that He wants the best in our lives and He is ABLE to give what’s BEST for us is the only choice to live a fulfilling, exciting, joyful and successful life.
