It’s been 10 fruitful years in a corporate world and I owe it all to the One who make my life exciting and fulfilling! Yesterday, I was asked to share God’s goodness to Canlalay Christian Church singles & youth and i’m humbled that God used me to encourage men & ladies whose been struggling in their career. And here’s what I’ve shared to them.
- God is the ultimate dream giver. Its the first thing He does to build our faith. Like Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Esther, Nehemiah, God gave them dreams and the same God who made it all come true. We must ask wisdom from God about our dreams, because dreams that comes from God will be always be so big in your life that you can’t do it on your own and will not contradict the truth.
The Bible tells us that God “by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of — infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes” (Ephesians 3:20 LB).
- God empowers us. Be the best person that you can be. God created each of us uniquely different from each other. He blessed us with talents, gifts, intelligence, strength and beauty to excel, to achieve our dreams. There’s a great potential that lies in each of us, all we have to do is to ask God to allow us to discover our potentials. How do we do this? Get out of your comfort zone, seek God and take risk, you’ll never know what God has in store for you if you never try.
- He gives purpose to our lives. Ask God, Lord now I have dreams and bring on my talents, what do you want me to do? As Christian our purpose is to honor God and make disciples. We can honor God in everything we do, with our talents, work, money, time, relationships, with our whole life, and to share our faith with other people. But God called each of us into different path, some are called to be artist, nurses, teacher, engineers, government official, pastor, housewife, etc. Wherever God called you there’s always a purpose for that calling. Our purpose is more than just for us, it will always be something that will bless others as well. God says “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great & mighty things, which you do not know.” – Jeremiah 33:3
- God reveals faith goals. Being a go-getter person, I started setting life goals since I graduated from highschool, my goals focus on what are the things I want to accomplish in college. Then when I was in college, I have long-term goals, what are the things I want to accomplish in my career, in my life. Mr Webster defined goal as the result or achievement toward which effort is directed; But 5 years ago, I’ve learned setting faith goals, faith goals are the things we’re believing God for in our life for the year or for the years to come. Faith Goals are not just from us but from God. Faith Goals will always be aligned with our dreams, talents, potential and purpose. Because God has greater plans for us Isaiah 55:8 says “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. And as we run towards achieving that goal God encourage us to endure, “And let us run with endurance the race that God has set before us.” Hebrews 12:1c (NLT). And like what God dis to Joshua and the Israelites. He also promise us that it will happened, it will come true, it will be given to you. “Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.” Joshua 21:45
