Butterscotch Bar



  • 2 pcs egg
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup margarine
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1 ½ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped nut


  1. Beat the egg until foamy, add in sugar, vanilla, margarine and corn syrup.  Beat until foamy.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt, add to the egg mixture, blend well then stir in nuts.
  3. Spread batter on prepared pan, bake for 25-30 minutes in 350F, and cut the bars while hot.
