Mar 13, Until today, there’s no trace where Malaysian Airlines MH 370 is. When I first read this news from twitter, that Malaysia Airlines flight from KL to Beijing, vanished last March 8, I’m shocked, because I just got back from Kuala Lumpur with Malaysia Airlines last Sunday (Mar 9), I was there to attend our company workshop together with other colleagues from APAC. I feel sorry for the 227 passengers and 12 crews in that flight. I prayed, that somehow, since there’s no proof of crash, I’m hoping that plane is just somewhere and everyone are still alive.
Mar 10, our regional head calls for urgent telecon and everyone was shocked to hear that one of our colleagues and her husband was one of the passengers of MH370 they are confirmed missing since Saturday. She and her husband stayed in Malaysia for a week vacation and to dive. They are supposed to go back on Mar 9 but they reschedule their flight on Mar 8. We all felt bad after we heard the news, it seems so unreal that someone we know and someone we just recently spent time with is part of this tragedy. We had a productive and fun workshop in KL. I also have a chance to talk to her, know her personally, sit down in lunch and dinner with her. I even invited her to come and visit Philippines best diving sites. This lady is kind, shy yet very open to talk once she get comfortable with you. Wherever they are right now, I pray for my dear friend and colleague, as well as her family. Though we only spent few days with Rui, for sure our team will always treasure these fun and happy moments with her.
Say what you want to say when you have the feeling and the chance. My deepest regrets are the things I did not do, the opportunities missed and the things unsaid.
