How I Got My Japan Visa?

For Filipinos, processing of Japan visa is through travel agency. For tourist, Japan embassy gives single or mutilple entry for 15 days. Thank God, Multiple entry for 3 years was given to me.

I availed service of Discovery Tour to process my Japan Visa, because they are the cheapest, P800 (others cost P1000-1500). Plus they also have pick-up and delivery service, it’s very convenient as I don’t have to go to their office to submit requirements and pick-up my visa stamp passport. Just add P400 for courier fee, and you save time, energy and money.

7 easy steps in getting Japan Visa through discovery tour:

  1. Visit discovery tour website
  2. Prepare and complete all the requirements (Philippine Passport, Visa Application Form, PHOTO(4.5cmx4.5cm)
w/ white background (Japan Visa Photo), NSO Birth certificate (original) If you’re married, NSO Marriage Contract (Valid 1year), Tour Itinerary,  Bank Balance Certifcate (ORIGINAL),  Philippines Income Tax Return (BIR form2316)
  3. Call Discovery Tour and ask them to pick-up your document requirements, contact details here
  4. Submit your requirements to courier delivery staff
  5. Wait for 5-7 working days to process your visa, they will call you once approved or disapproved. Mine only took 3 days.
  6. Discovery Tour will deliver your passport on the given address you provided. Delivery take 2-3 days.
  7. Receive Passpot from courier delivery staff

Hope this 7 steps helps! Enjoy Japan!

Anyway.. This is my first time to apply for a visa. How much money did you present on your bank certificate?

      • Hi Jenice! It’s me again. Hehe. I submitted my documents last Monday evening thru DHL and Discovery Tour received them Tuesday afternoon. Sobrang nakakakaba pala ang waiting game!! I hope and pray I’ll receive a positive feedback from Discovery before the week ends.

You mentioned that it only took 3 days for them to process your visa. How did you count the days? Where did you start counting? Sorry for the lame questions. I’m so paranoid right now. Haha. My bank cert has only Php 97,XXX.XX and I only traveled to visa-free countries in the past years. It’s my first time to apply for a visa! Hehe. I hope they would still grant me a single entry visa to Japan. I already have a ticket na kasi kaya super worried and kabado. *fingers-crossed*

        Thank you so much!! 🙂

      • OMG. They just called me few minutes ago.But the agent who called said they don’t disclose the results over the phone. Huhu. I’m worried lalo. Pero sana positive. It has been 2 days pa lang since they received my documents. *pray*

Super thank u Jenice! Your blog has been a great help on my application. Thank u! Thank u!

      • Aaaww… For sure you’ll have your visa soon. Mulitple pa, lalo na ngayon that Japan promotes their tourism. And with your asian countries visa stamp, it will be approve.

Thank u. 🙂

      • I got my passport with visa na last Sunday 🙂 Kaso single entry lang. Will apply na lang ulit next year kasi plan namin Spring naman. I will be in Kansai this coming October. Solo trip ko din. I’m so excited.

Thank you ulit Jenice! Keep on blogging! 🙂
