Mother’s Freed and Victorious

Last July 26, 2014 marked one of the glorious day in my life as I saw two of the most important persons in my life, Nanay – my mother and Mami Myrns – my best friend whom like my second mother. I’m grateful that they encountered Jesus in their life at 62 and 57, walang late kay God, His timing is always perfect. I’m just amazed of God’s love for both of them as the Lord pursue them everyday until they finally surrender and submit their lives to God.

Even to your old age I will be the same, And even to your graying years I will bear you! I have done it, and I will carry you; And I will bear you and I will deliver you. – Isaiah 46:4

For Nanay, she have to walked away from our home last June 2014, and spent 3 days away from us, live in a humble home away from her family, and spent quiet time under a big mango tree, to personally encounter God and experience freedom and victory.

For Mami Myrns, she went through career and financial problems, which leads her going back to God and surrendering her life to Him, admitting her weaknesses and shortcomings, to totally depending on Him as her comforter and provider. It was a tough situation, to personally encounter God, but it has to happen, it’s part of His intricate plan so she can experience freedom and victory in Jesus Christ.

Our months of one2one discipleship is all about the grace of God. God’s grace for me to disciple these two amazing woman, who have gone ahead of me, who have been tough times and conquered, who gained life precious wisdom and aged gracefully. I thank God that He called  me to share the Gospel and Christian Spiritual foundation to these women. Only by His grace… I’m also amazed by God’s grace to Nanay and Mami Myrns, as they have been very open to learning and knowing more about Jesus. They will humbly tell me, “ah ganun pala yun, tingnan mo, ang tanda ko na, ngayon ko lang naintindihan.” It’s only by God’s grace that we learn humbly and admit that hunger for wisdom, we hunger for God.

In my anguish I cried to the Lord and He answered by setting me free. Psalm 118:5

And finally, Jully 25-26, 2014, they joined Victory Weekend Retreat at Victory Alabang. They humbled themselves, received forgiveness, freedom, acceptance, security, love and victory that only Jesus can give. Our personal encounter with Jesus may comes in different ways and forms, it may come while we’re young or older, but it have to come,  it have to happen, so that we may experience God’s love to us, that is already available to us because of what Jesus did on the cross, He died on the cross for you and me so that we may have LIFE, a LIFE to the FULL.

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 6:23
