Oh my Tokyo dream! I remember how eager I am to step into my dream city.
My eyes rolled, when finally got my first ride on a bullet train, stared at Mount Fuji while travelling, overwhelmed with tall buildings and bright lights and thousands of black collared men roaming around the huge Tokyo Station!
This is it! I only have 2.5 days… So I maximized my time in Tokyo. I got to see everything in my list, this is my goal, and I did. Thank God I have JR pass, I can go wherever and get lost anywhere without worrying! So here’s my Tokyo travel diary part 1. Sorry, one travel diary post is not enough.
Day 1: Odawara, Shinagawa, Tokyo Staion, Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ueno
Off from Hikari 514, I transferred JR trains in Tokyo Station, to Euno Station to Minami-Senju. I checked-in at Business Hotel Fukusen. I’m too early for check-in time, so I just leave my stuff to super nice Japanese hotel staff. When I go back, my stuff was neatly placed in my room.
On my first day at Tokyo, I just enjoyed the thrill and much awaited feeling inside Shinkansen (bullet train). I’m on high! Unplanned and just spontaneous, I just do what I want to do and go wherever! So, I went to Odawara station to get to Mount Fuji 5th station. Odawara is almost an hour away from Tokyo, I don’t mind the travel since I’m again riding Shinkansen. Unfortunately, when I arrived in Odawara station, morning lang pala pwedeng makita ang Mount Fuji. So I just decided to get out of the station and see what’s around Odawara. Check my blog post on Odawara Travel Diary.
Before going back to hotel. I decided to just hop-on and hop-off from one station to another. Wala lang, bet ko lang.
