My Room Away From Home

I’m blessed to have a job that gives me opportunity to travel. This year, since January, I’ve been always away from home for almost every week. Though I really love to travel (traveling always excites me), frequent trips is physically exhausting, tiring… You packed and unpacked, check-in your luggage, wake-up early and skip some meals. Not to mention that I drive myself to and from the airport. Thank God to Park n Fly.

One of the perks of business travel is to stay in a nice hotel. You deserve it anyway, after a long tiring field work or meeting, all you want to do next is to get a decent sleep. I thought of sharing my rooms away from my room at home for the past two months of business trips! I love my job!

Chiang Mai’s Belle Villa Resort

Image

Last January 9-14 2012, Monsanto held its Regional Supply Chain and Customer Operations meeting in Belle Villa Resort, Chiang Mai. Belle Villa is a 4-star mountain resort in Thailand.

Belle Villa main lobby, you can also find here “The Terrace” where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the other side of the terrace is a swimming pool. I didn’t see anyone swim in here in my entire 4 days stay, I’m sure you’ll find yourself chilling if you do.

You will find a park called “Place de L’ Amour”, located right before the lobby. You can climb this yellow tower, and see the view of the resort.

A view from my room. I used to stay in the veranda every morning for quiet time and prayer. Perfect place to meditate, relax and feel the cool wind.

Laidback afternoon at Manor Hotel

My favorite hotel in Baguio, maybe because i only had a chance to stay in 2 hotels, here in Manor Hotel (at Camp John Hay) and recently in a budget hotel in Leonard Wood. Anyways, booked in this hotel from June to September to avail their 50% off promo! www.campjohnhay.ph

Here are some photos with my family in Manor Hotel, we had tea and dessert after our lunch just to take pictures of the beautiful view.

Camp John Hay Travel Diary

It is another great summer getaway for us three in Baguio City, plus we bring along our cousins Eilor and Empoy. It’s a 6 hour drive from Binan, Laguna or around 5 hours drive from Manila via SLEX-Edsa-NLEX-SCTEX-Marcos Highway. You will spend P1,000 ($23) for toll fees.

Our first stop is Camp John Hay to have a picnic for lunch. I’m happy to do this, I dont even remember the last time I have picnic with my family. Nanay prepares chicken adobo, boiled egg and tomatoes. Here, the table is rented for P100 ($3), but it’s really sad to know when we saw a lot of people who don’t want to pay even they used the table 😦

After that we went around and found out that we can enter the Historical Core featuring a museum at the Commander’s Cottage, Bell Ampitheater, a Butterfly Sanctuary. Entrance fee is P50 ($1.5) for adults and ) P30 for students and senior citizens.
