Daughter of the King

What a privilege to be considered as sons and daughters of the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords. This truth about God as our father, and me as a daughter of the King, has been so true to me when I lost my earthly father. My manager which is also my mentor, encouraged me that since I don’t have father anymore, I can treat God as my Father, I can talk to God, run to Him, and have father-daughter relationship with God like what Tatay and I have when he was still alive. Because we are the King’s sons & daughters, we have an access in His throne anytime. Isn’t God gracious? The truth that “I’m a daughter of the King” gave me confidence in everything I do. The Lord, as our Father welcomes us in His presence, when we begin to pray and meditate on God’s Word we begin to enter into His presence. Since we’re sons and daughters of the King, we are prince and princesses. We can approach the throne of our King anytime, in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

When Questions Are Answers

Here are my takeaways from Victory series, when questions are answers, that I want to share to my readers.

Question 1: Why are you so afraid❓

This question was asked in Luke 8:22-25, when Jesus calms the storm. “Then he said to them, “Where is your faith?” But they were afraid and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this? He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey him!” -Luke 8:25

I can relate to one of the disciples inside the boat, I’m sure I would react that way, I will be scared, fearful and do what I can to save my life. Oooopps, i missed my powerful God in the situation, i almost forgot that I can pray and seek God and save from this trouble. Storms will come thats for sure, it is part of life. But the question is, how do we face storms? Maybe you’re like me and disciple, afraid, stressed, because we’re facing the storm on our own.

️God allows storms to make something good out of us. 1 Peter 4:12 says “Dear friends, do not be astonished that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as though something strange were happening to you.”

⚡️After the storm passed and experience How God calms thee storm and how He’s been there for us during trials and pain. Storms bring us joy. 1 Peter 1:6 says “This brings you great joy, although you may have to suffer for a short time in various trials.”

️Storms builds character. 1 Peter 1:7 says “Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold – gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away – and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.”

The god news is Jesus is with us to calm the storm! We just need to be

Quiet. Be still.

Jesus did not just calm the sea but He also calmed the hearts of the disciples.

Dear Father, You are bigger than any storms in my life, i trust you, you are faithful, You cares, You knows what we’re going through, You are in control, You see the bigger picture, You knows the end-to-end and You can calm every storms we face, today i pray, quiet my heart and mind Father, i ask for your grace to be still and know that you are my God. Amen.

God Has a Plan for Your Life

Queen Esther is one of my favorite women in the Bible. From reading the book, I just can’t imagine how fair and beautiful she is. Plus all the spa treatments, oil and perfume given to her, ahh beautiful! No doubt, King Xerxes choses her and fall in love with her. Not just because she’s lovely but her character stands out among all the ladies presented to the King.

I’m also amazed of God’s plan for Esther. Though she grew up without a parent, God bless her with a godly man (her cousin) Mordecai who guide her growing up. From an ordinary orphan Jewish girl to a Queen! Can you see how God plans our life? It’s always bigger, greater than what can we think for ourselves… “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare[a] and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

What God has in store for us in the future will always be bigger of what we knew is best for us, God has always something better that we don’t know. As Jeremiah 33:3 says “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” Because what we plan for ourselves will always have limitations based on what we are now, what we accomplished so far and possibly how we see ourselves in the future, it’s always limited and sometimes selfish. But God, will always have bigger plans, bigger than ourselves. He is unlimited God, He is sovereign, He is able, He can do everything, there’s nothing impossible with Him, and the good news is, He is also a loving Father, He loves us “big time” that He wants only the best for His children, only the best life ahead for each of us! A life that brings glory and honor to Him.

God made Esther to be a queen, not just to enjoy the benefits of being a queen. This is not how the story ends… We see how God used Esther, to save the Jews from the evil plan of Haman to kill all the Jews. Why? Because the Savior would be born in Betlehem from a Jewish family, the Savior who will save the world and His name is Jesus. Esther’s obedience and selflessness plays a vital role in God’s plan for salvation to mankind. Gods plan for Esther is more than to satisfy her desires and dreams, it is bigger than her, it is salvation for everyone, and everything is plotted for His glory! So are you excited to embrace God’s plan in your life? Obey like a queen!

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

Desert Song

This is my prayer in the desert
When all that’s within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is a God who provides

And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames

And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here

And this is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on it’s way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I’ll stand

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I’m filled to be emptied again
The seed I’ve recieved I will sow

A Time for Everything

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

God’s Perfect Timing

It’s been a while since my last blog, and i was pretty surprise that there are still readers though… And I Imagewant to share what I’ve learned this past few months… Almost everyday, I’m tempted to take things on my own hands because I thought God won’t handle it the way I want Him too, He will not make it happen now. I feel like I know better than God. But after reading this inspiring blog from singlewoman.net, I chose to trust God and his perfect timing. Again, He has to break my own plans and timelines to make His plans for me happen!

Here are some quotes from the author, that strikes me!

“When you let go, something magical happens, you give God room to work.”

“When you stop trying to make things on happen on your timetable, you invite God’s perfect timing to show up and work miracles.”

“You have to stop your own endless efforts, attempts and manipulations to control every situation.”

“If some things you endlessly ask God for came to you right at this moment, you wouldn’t be ready for them. You wouldn’t be able to handle them. You would actually drown in the very favor that you’re asking for.”

My Thoughts…..

Everday, devote more time in worship, prayer, reading the Bible, meditate on His Word, disciple and be discipled. Faith comes from hearing and hearing the Word of God. We need faith during waiting seasons, and only Gods grace can sustain us to wait until He reveals to us His glorious plans.

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. Psalm 5:3

While I’m Waiting

I’m one of the most impatient person on earth. Who among us like waiting, I guess there will only be few. God has brought me in waiting season in almost all areas of my life, this season, really, is one of the hardest, being STILL and trusting our invisible God is really not easy. God has taught me, the role of waiting times and delays for us to fully and completely enjoy His blessings. At the end of every waiting season, we will learn that we have a FAITHFUL God, a God who is true to His promises.

I found this song about waiting from broken mindset blog (http://www.brokenmindset.org) and I guess this is the best thing to do while waiting for God.

While I’m Waiting
by John Waller

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait

I will move ahead, bold and confident
Takeing every step in obedience
While I’m waiting
I will serve You
While I’m waiting
I will worship
While I’m waiting
I will not faint
I’ll be running the race
Even while I wait

I’m waiting
I’m waiting on You, Lord
And I am peaceful
I’m waiting on You, Lord
Though it’s not easy
But faithfully, I will wait
Yes, I will wait
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve You while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting
I will serve you while I’m waiting
I will worship while I’m waiting on You, Lord

Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14

More of You & Less of Me
