My Boracay Adventures

It was my fourth in the beautiful island of Boracay and I will always come back. The good thing about Boracay is every time you visit, there’s always something new to try! A new hotel or resort for your accommodation. New restaurants for your gastronomic appetite, and new adventures to try out!Image

My July trip in Boracay is a business + leisure trip. It was a 3-day conference with Monsanto colleagues and another 3 days just bumming around the island with my friends Mae, Nanette and Donell.

We had a chance to try extreme (as if) adventure in Boracay. We had it all free, we’ve got this as prize from our team building. I try both buggy car and ATV ride with my colleagues. It was so hot! First, we have to try it in a rough road for a minute. We have to test proper combination of gas and break. Then we get it on, in the street, along with other vehicles travelling around Boracay.

Image

Then we try Zip Line at Mt. Luho.

Image

I thought it was scary, but it was fun and relaxing experience.

Image

Now it’s time to try harness and hydro zorb. But before that, Manong is a good photographer. He took us photos first and even direct us with our poses!

Image

Now this is it, finally after 2 years! Harness Zorb! I can say this was the most nerve rocking experience I’ve ever had. This is worst than Disneyland’s “Space Mountain” and Universal Studios “The Mummy.” I think I died for 20 seconds. OMG!

Image

Of course, Hydro Zorb is always fun! The three of us just roll around and laugh our hearts out!

Morning Walk at Boracay

While Manila and most of Luzon was flooded, I’m in Boracay for a business trip. Thank God that it’s a sun shiny day all over Aklan 🙂 Tourists get to enjoy the beauty of the island. While Net and Mae are still in bed, I decided to walk along the beach from Station 2 to 3. I spend some quiet time alone and pray. As I walk, I took photos na rin. The Island of Boracay is really beautiful.

this is my favorite shot of the beach with all the shadow effects.

Chao Praya River Taxis

For the locals of Thailand, Chao Praya River is one of their means of transportation to go from one city to another city. But for the tourists, it’s a must try experience. The cruise gives you a glimpse of areas around Cha Praya river.

Image

Passengers are mixed of both locals and tourists.

Typical boat that cruise around Chao Praya River.

If you have budget you can try having a luxury cruise with lunch or dinner while cruising. You can check the web for this offerings. But if you have limited budget, you can still cross the river and cruise by riding water boat taxi.

The friendly tourist guide also provide helpful information and history about places in Bangkok.

As you go along, you can see various buildings, temples, and other structures surrounding Chao Praya River.

I really enjoy the ride 🙂

Baguio: Burhnham Park

Burnham Park is located in the center of Baguio City, you cannot missed this place. This is the mother of all parks in Baguio City, though i still prefer the one in Camp John Hay. Around this park city’s commercial center Session Road, majestic Baguio Cathedral, our City Hall, and the hugely popular Baguio City Market were built around Burnham Park. It may be accessed from any one of the following roads: Harrison , Kisad Road, Governor Pack and Magsaysay Roads.

This is our last stop before we head to the City Market to shop for pasalubongs.

Baguio: Mines View

It’s my first time in Mines View, and i was kind of disappointed for me because i think business and vendors all over the place mess up the whole place. I’m not against business opportunities for people in Baguio it’s just that we as Filipinos should maintain the natural beauty of place like Mines View. Anyways, here are some views.

Universal Studios Singapore Travel Diary

There’s something about theme parks that makes me feel so excited! Maybe it’s the adventurous side of me… During our 3 days vacation in Singapore, our second day itinerary is to experience Universal Studios Singapore. The park is quiet small compare to Disneyland Hongkong, fewer characters around for photo op and more rides available for adults.

The entrance gate has a hollywood theme, where Oscars Icon is everywhere. We never thought that this strip is surrounded by the famoun Gold Oscar’s trophy icon, if we just knew it we don’t waste our time taking picture right in front of the USS gate. I swear there’s more of them inside.

Along the Hollywood boulevard we had our first and only photo op, I don’t know her actually and I don’t bother to google her. At least we met at least one Universal studios character right?

This is Shrek’s Castle, amazing!

Our lunch at Goldilocks food park. We had a bucket of chicken, bun and soda!

Here are the exciting rides we enjoy most:

Jurassic Park Rapids

Madagascar

Revenge of the Mummy (yay)

Waterworld

I’ve almost tried Galactica, but upon deciding at 6pm, the gatekeeper told me that this ride is already closed. Too bad for me, maybe next time.
